Hi, my headlamp washers are a bit flaky in operation - didn't work at all this morning, so I am considering getting an R26R smaller washer bottle and some carbon blanks, but am worried about the MOT. I keep reading MOT issues about cars with xenons and self-levelling but no washers failing due to the 2010 legislation saying they MUST be fitted even though cars are made beforehand 2010. Anyone on here had MOT issues or have they all used common sense? It would probably be cheaper for me to just get them working properly but as I don't really like washers I would prefer blanks, but not if it is going to be hassle come MOT time.
Hi, not a Megane (yet, still looking) but I've got a Clio 182 with xenons and washer blanks fitted and have no issues with them at MOT time. If they are there they have to work, but if they are missing they can't fail you
Thanks. Got a an R26R washer bottle, Renault traffic 2 washer filler tube cap and carbon blanks. Just need to fit them now.
Finally fitted my smaller washer bottle, Renault traffic 2 filler cap (that fits the washer dipstick tube) and carbon headlamp washer blanks.
