Hi All, So for around 6 months my car has been feeling a bit different-not the usual "tightness" when driving around corners etc( sorry for lack of description). The steering doesnt feel as planted or solid. Ive had my tracking done recently and it hasn't fixed it , garage checked all springs and they are also fine, tyres are fine as well. Is there anything else I can check or look at?
Could be play in the steering rack or power steering column. What model do you have? What are the symptoms when driving? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Could be one of many things but I'd start on the front end components. Check Lower Swivel Ball Joints, Track Rod Ends, Drop Links etc, should be relatively easy for someone to check them over for any play for you.
I had the same sensation recently. In my case, was the right swivel ball joint. Two months latter the left one start to clank. My advice, replace both sides at time. I'm talking about a Mk3 by the way.
