  1. My car is costing me buckets of money at the moment and about an hour ago I went to fill up and the handbrake just went straight up as opposed to the usual 3 clicks! Is this the cable gone or the lever? https://vimeo.com/104752709

  2. The cable could have come unclipped from the lever. 3 clicks sounds like the cable was adjusted a bit tight.

  3. Okay I'll rip it to bits and have a gander tomorrow!

  4. The aa came out and one of the handbrake cables has snapped and the bit that holds it in has worn badly! New bits are £45 so not too bad!

  5. mines 2-3 clicks thought it was bit tight like might get it adjusted a bit loser to counter it wearing too badly then

  6. Yeah it should be 4-6. You have to take the bit with the car number out that's in the middle of the handbrake off. Careful not to break the clip like I did! Then loosen the cable holder  10 minute job!

  7. im guessing it was the nut you loosen haha got about 3-4 clicks now
