Greetings RS DCI owner

Hello everyone,

I was recommended this forum by a mate who has recently joined Ed doe

Im CJ from lancashire and have recently bought a Renaultsport Megane DCi absolutely love it. Makes a change from my 306 background

I have owned 3 peugeot 306 Dturbo's one running a subaru turbo and big fuel pump, very cheap cars to work on and modifiy. But due to conrod failure and seeing a friend with a RS replica. I fell for the car so had to get one myself but not a replica.

Im on .net but it seems very quiet and im more for forums which are for members rather than profits which I seem to have read a bit.

So I have a Black RS DCI ive had the dpf removed, pipercross panel filter and remap it goes well hoping to get on a dyno in next month and see some power gains, I have recently got some cooksport springs to fit.

Ive always been into my diesels and would hope in the future to see how far the DCI can be pushed as havent really seen many with much more than a map and maybe ktec intercooler. I hope to be looking into hybrids and much more soon.

Yes ive always loved torque and everyone seems to go for petrol sportscars these days and I like to be different so thought of exploring the diesel modding in the Megane RS will take a bit longer but hopefully be worth it with the torque figuires these cpuld potentially produce

I work in Rochdale so not far away there seems to be more theres a liquid yellow f1 in bury too

And now the car has been successfully lowered and looks awesome and handled awesome too

 

Yes cooksports it does have.room.for some speedbumps tbh its not as low on the flat this is on a sloped carpark too

 

bit of a vid going off what snapper has described about the revving to 5k being stage 2 i believe this is what mine is at need to change fuel filter as date stamped 3 years ago hmm aparently serviced recently too

Decided to wrap the dash in orange carbon to be different as I have an orange anthracite and black theme in mind which ive discussed with a few members and im going to see what it looks like when complete lol

 

So as some may know ive had power issues which seem to have been 80% resolved by an egr spray cleaner and forte turbo clean and diesel treatment additives which has made a big difference

The power issue is still unknown as need to get a clip reader to find the actual fault I still think egr is to blame but if I have time this weekend il be stripping it and cleaning out

Have added some more orange in the form of reflective rim tape just to be a little different and also fitted a HID kit which took all of 40 minutes to do supplied by xenons online in oldham cracking guy good prices

Soon to have a big payout so a trip to RS tuning is on the cards very soon for more power and get this power issue underlined first

 

Agreed Gavin! So easy to fit but forgot to do sidelights while was at it is there an easy way lol?

Il have a dable tonight with sides then pal, iv got 15" forearms so bit fiddly for me lol

I just cut a hole in the cap with stanley for rubber to fit snug and went on no probs the passenger side was a bit of a fiddle. I put bulb in then cap and pulled rubber once in place but kept pulling bloody bulb on passenger side.

Yeah defo my mates got a megane and a clio RS so will have a word with him too was aside a grey RS on motorway this mornin there seems to be loads round here now lol

 

Well had MOT done today only advised on tie rod which I knew about and rear wheels slightly buckled on inner rim

Hey Bob,

No I havent as yet pal tried contacting them to get some prices but they never got back to me. Car still has intermittent boost loss but havent had time. Id rather get a rough price and then book in rather than just turn up

Orange calipers (not put brembo decals on yet)
Orange rear badge and mirrors







Just need to get front door badges off to go black with orange lettering. Plastidip renaultsport rear badge and front diamond orange...
