I’d been looking for a place in the South of England which can do a full geo setup with corner weighting for my 275, because there seem to be very few options. I went to NAD in Littlehampton and he did a fantastic job. Small business, but an owner who really knows how to set cars up. He also apparently does some work with the Clio Man in Littlehampton who is also well regarded, so he knows our cars. Good day out - had the bike in the back and easy cycle down to the harbour whilst he worked on it! Wanted to pass this reco on to others in need .
Thanks for this. Great to have a positive feedback. What kind of suspension are you running on your megane? I had a mooch around that estate Clio Man is in on my bike just to see where it was to potentially use. Gave me palpitations as how tight that estate was with ramps down into it. Loads of cars about for other business & stacks of old tyres & sand place on the side could feel the grit in my eyes. You could see how you would need the car wash at the entrance. Cannot comment on the actual business.
I ran BC’s for the last three years, saved up some cash and just fitted Nitron R1’s. It’s a fast road setup 7F/7R springs. I drive it to work a couple of days a week as well as country lane blasts and the Nitron shocks are more comfortable - excellent damping. It’s got much better bumpy b-road capability now too, absorbing more. The BC’s were excellent value and properly setup they gave more grip than OEM Cup suspension, it really made the car more capable, but the ride was always quite uncompromising, so I’m well happy with the Nitrons. I’ve not visited Clio Man - just heard good feedback on the Twingo Facebook.
It took 3-years of saving up . I’m near Leatherhead so up the A24 from you. I very rarely see any Renaultsports around here - no one knows what they are tbh. It’s a sea of Tesla/BMW/Audi/Mercs. Hardly a Renault in sight! I’ve also got a Twingo GT which I’ve done mods for performance and kept it looking relatively standard, and was also tuned by Chris at EFI. Arguably more fun around the tight roads in the Surrey Hills…
Honestly, I like this kind of chats.Sometimes, a humble and small business can give you a big surprise, talking about cars efficiency, experience and knowledge. Glad to read you have made a great progress with the Nitrons. I run with OEM Ohlins, they work perfectly to me but at finish, is a stock suspension. So, I can't imagine the feeling with the Nitrons
Ah not gonna come across you. There was a placement student at work with a grey 250 just left & I see a White one also a bit and a Grey one a few years back but not recently. What colour is yours. Did the car have BC from when you got it? Then just changed? or originally on Cup Shocks or Ohlins?
