I fully intended to get back with Greenlight insurance to cover my new car and use their track cover as well, as it was very good when I had my RS250, but as the RS275 is > £20k they cannot cover. Are there any other insurers who add track cover into their policies? Thanks
Try Adrian flux , if you let them know your a member of the "other forum" they give you a discount too.
Cheers mate I'll give them a try. Other option is general insurance and track cover from someone like moris insurance.
Green light is a con, I used to pay £50 a time till I spoke to them on the phone, things like if your not using OEM Tyres on track your not covered
They will not insure you, car must be a 2 seater from factory which the R26.R is, just be careful ugh green light
Ah ok. Greenlight will not touch me either as car valued over 20k. The joys lol. I'll get something sorted. hopefully.
Went with Adrian Flux in the end and intend to just get track insurance as and when I need it. Good service so far.
I use greenlight as a broker, but I'm actually insured with Liverpool Victoria or LV as its better known. I'm on a agreed valuation policy with like for like terms on modifications limited to 7500 a year. The only drawback is they don't insure castle combe but I don't intend on doing a trackday there. It is double excess in event of an accident on track though which is still only 600 quid
Yes, I was with greenlight before and liked their cover, but they would not provide the same cover on my RS275 due to it's value which is a bummer...
Bummer there track cover is quite good to tbh, I actually read into it a lot and had a good scout over the first lot of paper work. As long as it a fully marshalled event theres no restrictions to the cover, all my mods are still covered like for like just double excess. Not sure where Steve got the tyre info from but it may of changed as the chap I spoke to says its ok to run slicks too as the rules of the ministry of transport do not apply on track.
I'm with green light, as long as you declare everything it's fine, they told me its ok to use any pads and tyres, well worth the £40 per trackway.
My renewal is up end of this month, I'll call green light for a quote, I pay £530 a year with as many track days inc, 8 a year at £40 ap pop plus cost of the premium may work out way more expensive for me .
Yeah it could do Steve but the excess would be cheaper if the worst happened Is your company ok with mods?
Yeh I've declared everything, their a specialised track day insurance company so they expect mods, Mannings UK
