Gearbox actuator spring clip

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by RichK, Sep 29, 2018.

  1. Hi Everyone
On a R26 when you remove the nylon bush in the top of the selector actuator to drill and grease you have to take off a round spring clip approx 20mm dia. Does anybody have a part number for it?
    Thanks
    Richard

  2. Don’t have a part number but you can pick them up on eBay. Think they call them star spring clip?
To be honest, when I did mine the spring clip broke so got ditched in favour of drilling a 3 mm hole through the steel pin and using a (much more convenient) split pin which is re usable!

  3. Chris I think the replacing it with a split pin is the way to go.
    Thanks for you help

that's what i did to mine, those washers are awful to get off and don't really work if you try to reuse
