Gear Stick....

  1. May sound a bit pikey but want to know if you can shorten the length of the stick without fucking anything up? i find it feels way to long and sluggish! but will be going to andrew jeffs to shorten the gear change also  so shorter stick and gear change will feel nice IMO... can anyone give their advice?

  2. Andrew Jeffs has a short shift kit available. Have a search on here for him.

  3. TBH i'd try the short shift llinkage from andrew jeffs first before mucking about with the actual stick.
The short shift mod transforms the gear throw to what it should have been from the factory!

As far as i know you'd have to get rid of/ do something about the lift up for reverse thing if you shortened the stick itself which IMO is too much hassle!

  4. ok cheers for that lads! im going to andrew jeffs next weekend... didnt know he did the whole kit tbh whats included in this kit?! and yeah i agree jjones82 it is too much hassle just wanted to see what people had to say about it!

  5. Its just the selector in the gearbox which he modifies so that it reduces the throw of the gearstick

  6. yeah... want a shorter stick though :worried: decisions!!

  7. It doesnt shorten the actual stick just the movement of it

  8. yeah i know that... but as stated i will be going to andrewjeffs, but also want a shorted gear stick as IMO the stick length at the min is too long... but that steve said he does a kit which made me confused as i know he just modifies the movement of it...
