I stupidly left my car in first gear when stripping my gear selector to hone out the nylon bush. I am really struggling to get the whole mechanism back in has anyone any tips or have I fucked it by not leaving it in neutral?
How far is it stripped down? And do you mean on the shifter side (inside the car), or the mechanism at the box itself?
Thanks for ur reply mate, this is what I removed. The part where my hand is depresses up and down and has to be installed while fully pressed up like it is in the picture. However I can only seem to install it while being the opposite and when done so the gearstick is completely stiff. Any help is appreciated
