Hi all when putting my clutch down and going from first to neutral my gear stick does not spring into neutral, almost like it's getting stuck in between not crunching just stiff, also I have saw this http://www.engine-dynamics.com/Transmission/pid105406/cid134/Megane225/230ShortShiftGearLinkage.asp short shift gear linkage is it a straight swap with no messing about? Also if anyone has it is it any good? Thanks for the help
This is the answer to you people that dont have the short shift i used to supply...only thing is,this looks rather light to be a ideal swap for the phase 2 linkage. Would be interesting to try it out. In regards to your problem..its the actuator that the shortshift is attached to causing your symptoms. The actuator needs the bush honing out to get things back to normal.. Do a search,you should be able to find instuctions on how to do this.
I am interested to hear your thoughts on these? They could solve a problem. Perhaps something your machining colleagues could look into It's some pocket money and you have a great reputation.
