Having trouble engaging various gear ratios. May take more than one attempt. No particular gear. Then it’s fine. Occasional “burning” smell. Is my gearbox about to snuff it? Is it economically viable to repair or just replace? Cheers
ever changed the fluid in the box? and also does it do it from cold? or when its been running a while?
Not sure if it was changed when engine was rebuilt last year. Will give it a go as been driven hard since.
Yeah give the oil a change and if it doesn't help maybe the selector bush needs drilling and greasing But if that fails maybe new gearbox lol
