Hi all thinking of buying the kids a gaming pc for xmas they already have laptops and ipads but thought about a gaming pc ;nothing too pricey though and havnt aby ideas of specs seen this on gumtree just trying to see what id get for around same price https://www.gumtree.com/p/laptops/gaming-pc-intel-i5-cpu-3.20ghz-quad-core-8gb-ram-read/1145017076 would this spec be able to play all the latest games etc thanks phil
The gfx card retails around £100 which to me a sign of where you'd be playing the latest games. Mid range really. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-...z-gddr5-gpu-1085mhz-boost-1163mhz-cores-640-d If you can get it for under £300 it would be okay I guess. Compared to this from Amazon which uses onboard graphics, it would be a lot better (the gumtree one). http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UC9YI1Q/?tag=rsmeg-21
The graphics card is a bit weak, I've got a 770 and it's just about ok with recent games on quite high settings @ 1080p I doubt it runs the games it lists on ultra settings at a reasonable frame rate, it'll run them but more likely mediumish settings. The CPU is fine, 8gb of ram is plenty still these days. All seems ok, just the gfx is a bit weak and only thing is you can buy pre-builds with near enough the same spec brand new similar price.
Thanks guys ideally wanting new just posted that up to see what the spec was like alot different to going and buying a console there all so different
