Hey folks, wonder has anyone else had this and sorted it. .. My galaxy s6 broke and I upgraded to a s7, but it refuses to connect properly to the megane via Bluetooth. From the radio menu if I select pair as a phone, I have to type in a code into the phone and it looks like its paired, but the radio sources list doesn't show it, even though the phone has media streaming enabled in blutooth settings. if I try to pair it as an audio device both the radio and phone simultaneously want a code, neither showing one. Seems the galaxy s7 has a fair few issues with Bluetooth but was hoping someone on here mightve found a fix.
I´ve had no issues pairnig mine galaxy s7 with car. Audio streaming works as well, only downside is I cant sort my contacts in phonebook by surname. Try to delete all paired phones in radio first and then connect the phone. This how I paired mine and it worked.
Good news then, it must how I'm going about it hopefully. My car is a rs250 cup. If you've got time, you couldn't let me know the procedure you used in steps?
Mrs recently got a s7 edge, connects and works fine. From memory I launched the Bluetooth on the car then paired from the phone. The phone then asked for permission to contacts and media. Every time she starts the car it auto connects fine
Thanks for the info guys. I went in and removed all previous bluetooth info on the phone and will reset the radio settings also, and give it a go again. Did you all just connect as a phone rather than audio device on the radiosat?
I will try to make a new pairing tomorrow and will write you step by step what i did. Mine car is early 265 though, but I think it should work the same with all meganes BT headunits
So I tried to pair my phone with my meg several times without any problem. 1. Delete all paired phones in the car 2. Turn on BT on your phone 3. Search for nearby devices with your HU, the pin code should pop up on HU display 4. Go to your phone settings -> Bluetooth and you should find your car as a nearby device 5. Enter the pin code to your phone and you are done. I am leaving my BT on so everytime I get in to my car it connects automaticly.
Guys, thanks so much. Found my issue in the end - the phone was pairing up grand all along, but I hadn't selected bluetooth as the source from the auxiliary input (I didn't realise you could scroll down to select another). I can now continue to rock out...
