Fuse help please. Lights

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by craigRS, Mar 25, 2014.

  1. A while ago I had three lights go out at the same time, a reg plate bulb, os sidelight and os rear light.
it turned out to just be a 7.5 fuse from the ones in the engine bay.

Now three more bulbs have gone, centre brake light, os brake light and os headlight.
I've checked all the fuses in the engine bay but there all fine this time, all the bulbs are fine aswel.

What can i do next to sort this? Does anyone know exactly which fuse controls them three bulbs so I can go back and double check?

    The cars a 225f1
    Thanks

  2. U most follow the cable lines and one by one check if all work could be another fuse or a short cut. I once have a rear light short cut because the harness was burn

  3. have you had a look in the fusebox next to the glovebox, not sure if the fuse you want is in there but its worth a look.

  4. Hey mate, I had this happen recently. Check the 7.5amp fuses in the engine bay, thats what blew on mine. Such an awkward placement of a common fuse!

  5. That sounds like awkward work mate

Yes mate, just been out and checked every one

Thats the one that went on me last time mate but every fuse in the engine bay is ok.

Had this a few weeks ago and turned out to be a burnt wire in the loom

  9. Bloodie hell, big job? Any easy to access common areas I can check?

  10. Is this something you can fix mark?

  11. Craig have you tried new bulbs. the centre brake light is led.

  12. You're best ringing him mate he's like gold dust on here. Can never catch him.

  13. I had similar problem about 3 years ago with my Laguna Initiale dni 150 08 reg. Changing fuses was helping for 3-4 days, then problem occurred again.
Finally it was diagnosed as faulty wiring loom. Car was for 5 weeks with West London Renault. I was lucky with manufacturer warranty. Otherwise it may be pricy.
