Noticed that when I put the cabin fan on it smells quite noticeably of petrol. Is this a commonish problem and is there a recommended fix?? Its a 225 with a decat and induction kit if that matters. Cheers James Ps, not sure if this is the correct section to post this in.
Check under the car for any evidence of leaks. There's an issue with the mk2's where a fuel pipe underneath the car can suffer corrosion and start leaking. From some of the threads I've read about it on here, it's not a fun job to replace the pipe if it is that.
If it was I'd surely smell fuel when out of the car too. It's only noticeable when the fans on inside the car..
