R26 fuel line replacement

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by mk2zetec, Dec 19, 2015.

  1. the whiff of petrol over the last week or so has turned into a corroded through fuel line, just underneath the drivers side floor where the metal pipe meets the plastic pipe that runs from the tank. the new pipe looks like a nightmare to install and I'm just considering the best way to go at it. simplest way might be to just pull the engine out. anyone had a similar problem? cheers

It can be replaced with the engine in place... you need to remove the large engine bay heatshield and undo the ABS pump mounting to move out the way.
