Front knocking

  1. So as is life, my warranty has just expired and now I'm getting some knocking at the front at slow speeds.

What's the most likely cause and how expensive is this going to get.....?

  2. Usually the hub ball joint, does it feel a bit wayward over bumps an under power?

  3. probably balljoints..most common fail the Mk3 has.
Renault fkd it up on the mk2..redesigned it..and fkd it up again!

  4. Not that expensive if you can use a spanner. About £ 60ish per lower swivel/ ball joint.

arb or swivel bearing, think mine was a bit of both.

  6. Arb or ball joints. Ok thanks everyone.

No I'm totally useless with a spanner so will have to get someone to do it for me.

Might ask CGR to sort it and get some upgrades done at the same time

  7. So actually it seems I have more warranty left than I realised

Renault are you going to look into this for me. I'm wondering though if ball joints and arb bushes will be covered by warranty. Hope they aren't going to play the "wear and tear" card......?

  8. I shall wish you luck. I've been trying to get Renault to diagnose a front suspension noise under warranty and they have been bloody hopeless so far lol.

  9. Will more then likely be the anti rotation links
