250 Front Bumper Radiator vents/Bass Ports/Holes

Discussion in 'Exterior & Bodywork' started by Mark_RS, Jun 11, 2018.

  1. Can people please post any pics they have of the popular bumper top circular holes that add air flow to the radiator top? Looking for ideas and to convince me to do it while I wait for parts to arrive :worried:

You mean the holes that go where the number plate is?

  5. I mean above that, the bit of bumper between the headlights. Lots of people drill circular holes in there (2 or 3 a side) to aid air flow to the radiator. I'm debating whether to do it on mine or not...due to boredom.

Honestly, not needed and all it does it make it look terrible.

If you really want to sort the cooling out, get an oil cooler and watch your Temps drop 20-30 degrees resulting in everything running cooler

  8. I wish people would stop with all the me2 stuff, makes it hard to work out what's a good mod and what's just copying.

Additional cooler is going to make a lot more difference than some extra holes, plus it will actually cool the important thing seeing as they run hot anyway

  10. Know of a decent kit Jamie and fitting location? Bearing in mind I have the ITG taking up the passenger arch.

There's not really a decent off the shelf kit but it's easy enough to get all the bits you need.

Pax wheel arch is a good location but people have mounted them on front of the intercooler or on top of the crash bar 3a24d826c3168fe3e9d05070162abdbc.jpg

  12. Just for you Jamie, being as I know you love it so much.

    [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Thanks Mark!

To be fair though, and it pains me. That looks OK, a lot better than the daft round holes loads have.

  15. Cheers!

  16. Means a lot

  17. Not too sure on the carbon wrap on the bonnet.

  18. Wash your mouth out with soap this instant!

I actually need to get it re-lacquered, not good up close in parts now. Will be asking the body shop to do it when they do the boot and doors :worried:

  19. Not too good for £2k?

  20. Nope, I knew when I bought it that it had a few imperfections in the top coat...just wanted it and was in a rush, foolish of me.

Is it real carbon or wrap?

  22. It's real.

  23. Full carbon including the inner skin. Cost £2k
