It's a right dark art. I have an understanding of what all the settings do, but when I do it myself it ends up handling like a shopping trolley on an ice rink!

Got some bad news with regards to that Chris my disc is scratched to buggery and I am lucky to get the game to load lol but as soon as I try to download a tune or save mine all I get is save file corrupt tried deleting before but doesn't help.

Maybe that can be my handicap mate. On another note with 1 small messup just done a 9.00.815 I might bow out at that as I think my eyes would bleed if I tried to beat it.

Lol if Chuck Norris played our forza challenge he would lap in -8.59 (I also like the fact we spell his name with capitals just incase) Im sure I could get an 8.58 (did a brief lap afew seconds infront of the ghost) but not near the xbox till possibly sunday night. Im pretty sure you will go under 9 mate.
Capital letters are a must mate lol. I'm determined to beat my ghost, it may take a wile as I was pushing hard on the 9.01. I stuffed up somewhere (can't remember where now) so hopefully without that I might crack the magic 9

i done a dirty 8.58.xxx from a flying start to try and get a reference but I just cant make up the ground from a flying start.
I found a corner that you can take flat that I haven't done before and I reckon that alone will give a good few seconds. I don't know the name of it, but it's a long lefthander about 25% in that leads into a tight right hander that then goes down the hill into a long fast wiggly bit...worst description ever!
Just found this. The bit I'm on about is between 7 and 8. Hopefully could be quite useful in general though

It'll be the left hander after flugplatz (sp?) Cut from right to left curb an just hit it flat. Get the car straight and hit the brakes hard. The next right is easy to out brake yourself into. Another one u can take almost flat in 5th in the left hander after foxhole. Don't be shy to cut the curb. Do it right and you be on 2 Wheels or airborne slightly sideways lol. That's it. No more. Just did a 9.16 dirty, followed by a quicker lap where I lost it on the second carousel section right near the end. I reckon I was a good 3 seconds ahead of my 9.16. Absolutely gutted. So for my sanity I think I'll leave it at 9.20. Actually shaking ffs:thumbdown:

Definitely need to do a shorter track, I could only be bothered to do about 4-5 laps over the last week or so.

Looking back thru the thread, it seems only 4 people set a lap time? 1st. LiquidF1 9.00.815 2nd. ChrisR26 9.20.664 3rd. Dansmotorsport 9.25.625 4th. Gjonmat 9.57.625 At work so can't check the replay, have I missed anyone out above? Cheers Ill start a new thread for the next one and get the op edited to try and keep things tidy lol. Any suggestions for round 2?
I think we said that the slowest person picks the next track? I'm happy for that to be the case. And surely your time needs to count?
Yea that's fine with me mate I was thinking perhaps start in a low class on a tight technical track then work thru the different classes/tracks. This *may* help people to learn more about tuning/handling as we progress from slow to fast cars. Lol mine time doesn't matter for this one mate I just wanted to get other people involved. Aslong as the time above are correct, to claim your winnings just buy an abarth and put it in the ah with a buyout price for the same as you've won (add the price of the car and the auction fee on aswell) and ill buy them up tonight around 9pm
Im happy for others to claim my prize so Chris can step up to my prize if that's ok mate? I think something like a low class and somewhere like tsukuba will be a great learning curve for people.
