AVOID cheap Chinese rods.. If you are going to the expense of building an engine do it properly with known brands.
^^ This... When it comes to rods you really want a brand name as you will have some come back if things go wrong.. I actually wouldn't be surprised if some of the well known forged rods were made in China tbh. Yes they do have some dodgy back street companies but they also have a lot companies that offer fantastic quality at what we would consider cheap prices. You'll find that some of the biggest brands get parts manufactured in asisa including Renault.
