I'd say so. Not sure what sound you mean really. But the Forge Recirc will have a stiffer spring than the standard one and will make slightly different noises.
Compressor surge. Stiffer spring requiring more boost to open the valve means light driving will keep it closed.
Juz installed Forge Recirculation valve (blue spring) tdy...n found out that my boost drop gradually from 5K rpm (1.2 bar)onwards...when it reach 6.2k rpm (1 bar)...it will still hit the peak boost which 1.6 bar... With my stock diaphragm valve there's no such issue....at abt 6.2K rpm it's still 1.5 bar... All the boost reading base on RS monitor...will try dyno tomorrow... Wonder is it the spring issue guys ?
the dyno will give a better boost drop prejection i would think mate, but it does sound like the spring isnt right
Sounds like the spring is too soft and your leaking boost pressure. However, i would have thought that even the softest of springs from forge would hold boost pressure better than the standard recirc valve.
Weird thing is.... I try 2nd gear full throttle the boost drop towards the end rpm like 5.5k rpm at abt 1 bar 3rd gear full throttle the boost drop at 5.5k rpm at 1.2 - 1-4 bar 4th gear full throttle the boost hold till the end rpm I have tighten all the 3 bolts nicely...probably should try to slot it shims....
I wonder would it be a vacuum hose problem ? Coz it's only 2nd & 3rd gear has this boost drop....3rd gear could really felt after 5k rpm the power struggle n the boost starts to drop.... Can u some enlighten me...having nightmare here.... I'm actually waiting for the valve spring kit to arrive to test again...I'm on blue spring on the RV
