Is this even possible to do.... I am wondering if it's possible to get the mirrors to fold when locked and unlocked instead of doing it off the little knob. I saw a video on you tube but don't know what model it is.
It's possible but it's also possible for it to get out of sync. You'd just find the power to the locks and run from that when it gets a pulse send the signal to the mirrors.
Presumably that would also mean you'd have to turn the auto-lock function off (otherwise they would fold back in when you hit 5mph and the doors lock).
Mine don't do that lol got a 2007 225. Or is it able to do that as well without me knowing it could. Lol
A lot of people turn it off but I can't think of why. Remembering to press unlock when a passenger wants to get in is a small price to pay to prevent a possible carjacking haha. When you're in the car, engine running (doors all shut), press and hold the lock button. Should only be about 5-10 seconds.
I wonder if you could use a 12v feed from double locking. I assume there must be something that activates on the double lock.
I would imagine that the deadlock circuit must be seperate as it controls all the windows and locks. If you find out please share as I'd love that feature.
