Someone went into the back of me a few weeks ago and my offside fog light is no longer working but my near side one is. I pulled it out to have a look and water came rushing out of the lamp. So I take it a fuse has blown? As for the MOT Will just my near side rear fog light pass me or will I need both working?
Believe if you only have one it has to be the offside as that’s furthest into the road, so suspect it will fail. Have you checked/replaced the fuse?
Did have a spare 12v brake light bulb similar size just slightly bigger but that didn’t work, unless I need that specific fog light bulb
I’ve tried a new bulb no luck. may have to remove the lamp completely does anyone know how to remove the lamp is it as simple as removing clips?
Update: got the lamp off had a good clean still nothing so I’m thinking maybe swapping the nearside bulb holder and putting that in the offside light
As mentioned above I’ve tried that and it’s not the bulb holder as the light comes on nearside still… and not offside so what could I be looking at here? Fuse, wire damage don’t have a clue

I’m pretty sure the other drivers wheel hit the bumper
Ive tried a voltage tester on the faulty offside fog lamp and power is still coming from the plug but no light is emitting from the bulb, and as mentioned earlier it’s the not the plug holder as I tried that on the other side and it worked so I don’t know what’s going on.
