Fitting Pioneer Stereo

  1. Hi,

Ive got an Pioneer stereo I want to Install into the 250.

I know I need a facia adapter which is no probs but Im unsure as to what lead I will need to connect it up to the Renault loom?

The stereo has its own bluetooth but I dont want to use it, I want to stick with the renault one but I would like to maintain the fuctions on the standard Renault controler by the steering wheel.

Ive seen a few adaptors but the price difference ranges form £30 to £70!

    Thanks

  2. The stock Bluetooth is tied to the old Headunit. Your new headunit needs to support BT and you have no choice but to use it.

    I've installed this
    http://www.pioneer.com.sg/sg/products-detail/index.html/?product=AVH-X7750BT

With the fascia and stalk adapter from ICM ebay UK
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/incarmusic/

The fascia n adapter combo cost me £89.99. I think it's well worth the money.

My RS monitor still works with the stalk and i can control the headunit as per normal.

I'm not sure if i answered your question, but when it comes to BT functions like making and answering a call, i'd have to touch my Headunit screen.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Excezz do you have any pics of the new headunit installed? Looking to upgrade my sound system!
