I've had a search but can't seem to find a how to on fitting lowering springs on a 250. I've got spring compressors and have done it on a previous car but like to have a step by step guide to follow so wondering if there is one hiding anywhere?
I have a set waiting to be fitted. Debating on fitting myself or getting the garage to fit them. A proper how too guide would be good
I thought the same but I think I've now decided to take it somewhere. I did my 225 ones a few years ago and had a mare on the drive. I can't be bothered with that again
I vote for the guy that has newest low milage car as it will be the easiest to strip down. Mines a 10 plate on 91k so I'm out
Surely you can Waltz into a Renault garage and go and ask a Renault tech? Getting quotes at the mo, the first I've had is off a local Renault specialist £192. How does this compare to what others have paid?
Do the rears yourself. As mentioned they are genuinely a piece of piss. Then get a garage to do the fronts. Will save you an hours labour I suspect. I remember doing them on my Clio 172 years ago (fronts). Never again. Not that diffucult but stuck bolts etc are a royal pain in the bumhole.
My local garage quoted me £220.. Well that's the standard price they charge to do springs on any car apparently. Might have to shop around
I've had a quote from Beanie Sport for £216 and Mark Fish at over £400. Anywhere you guys can suggest around London?
I've contacted a lot of garages in and around Warrington and RS tuning and they're all quoting around 3 hours and roughly £60 an hour. I'm booked in for next week. Someone said midlands Renault offered what seems like a very good price of £120 but I messaged them over a week ago and had no reply and its a fair distance from me anyway.
Contacted them, and they quoted me the same. Thanks for the recommendation, didn't realise they were Renault specialists until I found their site. Have you had any work done there previously?
That looks fab with the wheels In red.. I have been contemplating this myself or getting the red 19's from the trophy.. the spring height looks great too.. Any daytime pics?
