Fitting a blanking plate help :S

  1. Hi,

Iv had a search but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
I'm after abit of help/tips of how to fit my forge blanking plate. The access to the lower bolt is virtually impossible to get too? How the hell have other people done it? In principle it's easy as it's just 3 bolts but I'm struggling like hell to find a way to get in and loosen the bottom bolt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Remove the turbo to air box pipe

  3. It's a right arse you just have to percivere and you'll get there in the end I've done two and there both awkward

  4. As losi said you need to remove turbo pipe. I used a stubby flat head and used patience and feel to loosen it enough as the screw head is pointing to the bulkhead... Great design I know! Once you move the pipe out of the way its nice and simple :-)

  5. Also remove the lower awkward bolt 1st then you're not fighting the tension from the DV.

  6. Thanks guys! Finally got it all done today...was a lot easier once the turbo to airbox pipe was removed. I think without removing that I'd still be there now doing it ha!
