Hi everyone, I recently picked up a used 2008 Megane II R26 F1 edition. I'm a 21 year old from South Africa (We have no decent Renault forums here so I joined this one as I heard it's quite active). This is the second car I've bought after buying my mum's old Opel Corsa Lite a year or two ago. It's a huge change and I absolutely love this car! Got a few small things to fix here and there, and I've already come to realize that a Renault is an absolute b**** to work on after spending a good part of 3 hours just changing out the Halogen bulbs A few things I plan on doing to her include: • Respray some annoying paint chips she's picked up over the years • Spray the wing mirrors gloss black (The car is a liquid yellow colour and the silver mirrors look a bit silly to me) • Tint the rear passenger windows black • Spray the wheels gloss black to match the rest of the black features on the car • Add some front and rear wheel spacers • Carbon Fibre hydro dip the center console plastic, gear lever plastic ring and inside door plastic handles. • Upgrade the radio. Maybe just a 2 Din touchscreen or one with a screen at the top of the dash? Still undecided about that. • Add a CAI and some other fun things to make the engine look and sounds a bit nicer. Any other suggestions would be great! The engine upgrades I'll probably only do in a year or so as the car still has an extended service plan and I doubt Renault will service it without cost if they need to also replace aftermarket parts like a cone filter.
