Federal RSR

  1. That is cheap, might order a pair for the sake of it

  2. They have been less that that from mytyre recently.

  3. I got mine from mytyres.
Absolute nightmare claiming against them when the tyres split in half.
Took about 4 months but eventually received a refund on all 4 tyres.
They were used for less than 20 laps and all split across the width of the tyre.

  4. I ran some on the r26 for ages, mainly on track. Great in the dry, useless in the wet, dangerous with standing water.

  5. I've been running them for the past 7 months and also ran them on my 182, driven them in the pouring rain and they've been fine

  6. 10k miles, 2 track days 4 halfs days and 10 laps of the ring and mine still passed mot on my mates car

  7. I run these too in a 235 and haven't had any probs with them, used to run v12's but these are way better even in the wet

  8. I had ps2 and ps3 as road tyres and used rsr on track. RSR were great in the dry but my road tyres miles miles better in the wet in every way.

rsr's in my opinion, are pointless for road use when our UK roads are more wet than dry and my michelins were far superior - i want to get the most pleasure out of the car, with handling the key part why sacrifice with poor traction? Glad you are happy with them!

This, I ran them on my old Fiesta and the Megane on the road and track and the only issue with them was standing water, which is to be expected

I quite fancy trying the new RS-RR that is out to see how they compare

  10. I've only just noticed these!

  11. Spoken to a few people who run the federal FZ-201 and they say they're phenomenal. The RS-RR should be alright. All of them are hopeless in the wet and with standing water.

  12. I wouldn't say they we hopeless driving back on the M20 this year it was absolutely pissing down worst I've driven in and they were fine, although the I was going 50-55 but I never felt unsafe with standing water ect.

  13. Should of said I mean when pressing on not just say to day driving.

  14. Fair enough. Although I think you'd be a tool to press on in the wet

  15. I had 4 RSR's fitted last week. Really good in the dry and surprisingly grippy in the wet.

One thing I like is how stiff the sidewalls are compared to the Michelins I had on there before. The Federals aren't XL tyres either. Obviously the stiff sidewall is down to it being an R tyre.

    edit - I paid 320 delivered for 4 RSR's in 235 width.

  16. i cannot rate them enough i think they r great tyres,

had them for track use, 4 track days and a a couple of laps at the ring and they still got tons of tread.

i know people have said they struggle in water, but i was in torrential rain at brands and they didn't miss a beat

    good choice

  17. I've ran these for the past 12 months, several Trackdays and a ring trip and pound for pound can't fault them.

Even in the wet at Oulton once warm they were sound!
