1. Took the long route home tonight, engine bay was plenty warm when I got home but I noticed the fan wasn't running when I stopped - just a faint buzzing noise from somewhere around the ECU. Water temp was normal during and after driving, but I would have expected the fan to continue running after the ignition's been switched off after a spirited run?

  2. I've only known the fan to come on when sat it traffic and the Scangauge hits 99 degrees. The 'buzzing' is the oil pump I think.

  3. That's reassuring. You know that feeling. when you notice something and you can't remember if it's always been like that!
Oil pump sounds about right for the noise.

  4. It's the auxiliary water pump you can hear. It continues running for a few minutes after a spirited drive. As said the fan always comes on after about 98 degrees.
    Lee.
