R26 Factory Parrot with Aftermarket Head Unit

Hi,

this has been annoying me for a while... I have a factory Parrot kit fitted to my R26. Worked fine with the standard head unit.

I've replaced the head unit with an after market Alpine. Parrot kit still allows calls to be answered, but does not cut front speakers, so you have to turn head unit off to hear the caller...

As an alternative, I thought i'd replace the parrot with a double din head unit with bluetooth built in, so I removed the parrot module from behind the glovebox, but when I disconnected it, the front speakers dont work at all!

Has anyone with an R26 successfully integrated the factory parrot unit with their after market head unit (if so what do i do?) or failing that removed the box WITHOUT stopping the front speakers from working?
