250 Facia plate from Trophy-R (without audio head unit)

  1. Hi everyone!

It's my first post, poor English etc.. but )) Maybe someone can help me.
I'm looking for part number of facia plate with storage box from Renault Megane Trophy-R (mk3) without audio unit on board. See attached picture.

Why & what for? It may look a bit unusual, but I have Megane RS mk3 & I want to completely remove audio head unit from my car. I have RS monitor, so... display always been used for direct features . No need to listen radio/music (especially on standard head unit) in this car. I would like to install a storage box like on "trophy-r" instead.

Any ideas how to get this?

    Thanks!

  2. EAndy, it's not so simple as can be expected.

1st. The main problem facia plate for mk3. There are a lots of custom plates for mk2, but they are (omg!) different and doesn't fully compatible with mk3!
2nd. Also "universal single DIN storage" can have different sizes...

Here on Trophy-R I see ready solution & I'm sure it will be cheaper, than invent this solution for myself.

  3. you can get single-DIN facia replacements specific for the mk3 as well..

  4. Can you please advise where?

  5. It DOESN'T fit! )) Because after the last update Megane 3 has slightly another facia plate design! I have this one at home & now in discuss process with "Connects2".
So, I know what I'm talking about )

    My megan 3 2014 release.

  6. Poor English or not the (omg!) and DOESN'T in caps lock is just plain rude have some manners especially if asking for help. If your going to be outright rude then expect rudeness straight back. You join the forum and your first post is for help and lacks description you state a MK3 and a simple google search shows literally HUNDREDS! (OMG!) avaiable for a MK3 such as the one I have.

A chap then gives you a link to a MK3 fascia that DOES fit and you then 4 posts in state its for a 2014 model thats different like we're supposed to be mind readers.

Ironically you finish off with "I know what I'm talking about". Thats nice, we do as well now after 3 days and 4 posts you've actually stated what car you require it for. Bravo.

I've the part number to hand from the Trophy-R, it's readily available on the internet and in accessible .pdf files for the car but I'll let someone else assist you who is happy to help out with the attitude. Try and be polite and more descriptive next time and channel that rudeness into useful text such as year of car. I eagerly await your abrupt response full of profanities and childish outbursts.

  7. EAndy, I'm sorry for probable intonations. I'm not from UK, not from Europe & I'm not sure how to be "polite" correctly in simple words. In my language it looks normal (really), I do not want to be rude or something else. Maybe bad day on the work, a lot of snow today on roads... very much.

Of course, I had to mention release year, because it's important. But I just forgot. I'm newbie with Renault & for me mk2 mk3 models till 2013, after 2013.. it not so simple to explain! :worried: Maybe my reaction was a bit sharp because on every forum, every chat, every man gives link on Connects2 facia plate & I'm sad every time.

I've googled my question hard as I could but I've not found answer. The last hope was to go on European forum & I'm here.

My apologies. And thank you hooverphonique for attempt!
