    Hi fellas,

I have been looking for info over the last few weeks about running 172 f4r cams in the f4r turbo engine.
I couldnt find a dedicated thread so thought I would start one.

As a few of you may know I am currently building an engine, and been considering non standard cams, 172 are one of the candidates. As I will be running a larger turbo than standard I think cams are possibly worth playing with?

So if anybody is willing to help or offer information that would be greatly appreciated, so looking for information regarding anything relevant, cam profiles for the 172 & 182 cams, fitting of the cams and blanking oil ways, timing issues etc etc.

  2. You need to block the 1*2 dephaser bolt oil way by welding it up and block an oilway on the cam.

I maybe able to grab a picture unless the engine in the unit is already built.

Have you ran an engine with these cams already?

  4. Any pics and info on this matter ?

  5. You could use 182 cams ? This mod - changing cams - is not interresting ?
