Currently got a scorpion cat back but i want more grunt..any suggestions on which is best.. Vids would be great
Would like a cat back exhaust myself to release some more pops and crackles in sport mode. How do you find the scorpion? Would love an Akrapovic but couldn't justify the price.
I am going to take mine up to CGR next year, but happy with the center box delete atm. Does the scorpion system have a center box?
Scorpion isnt too bad, nothing major in the pops and bangs sense.. probably need a full decat for that. It sounds ok but ide like abit more noise, im coming from 15 years of subaru ownership though so the megane is super quiet compared to my old cars lol
Heard a lot of good things about CGR, bit of of journey for me from South Wales though. Do they do mail order or do you have to go there?
They're shipping me a dump pipe off the turbo to Sydney, Australia so I'm sure they'll be able to ship within the U.K.
I was just looking at RS Tunings sport cat (presume it's road legal) and putting it onto my akra http://www.rstuning.co.uk/shop/renault-megane-iii-rs250-rs265-rs275-rst-3-sports-cat/ any thought so is it worth it I am sure it would sound lovely
Morning Guys, De-cats do effect exhaust sound quite a bit making it a louder tone, more aggressive, and obviously they have performance benefits too. If you're looking for a de-cat or full exhaust then we've got you covered, here is some more info on the quality of the systems; http://rsmegane.com/threads/cgr-automotive-mk2-and-mk3-exhaust-system-group-buy.11426/ Unfortunately the group buy offer isn't on anymore so our exhaust base price is £870, and our de-cats are £220 And yes we can ship worldwide! Thanks, Rachel.
£870 for cat back exhaust is it? Don't want to go decat as it may be too loud and a pain come MOT time. Pops and bangs would be amazing though :-)
is there a noticeable difference in sound with just a cat back system? I know the decat would allow more noise but I didn't really want to go down that route. is a standard system 3" on the meg 250?
We can build the systems however you like, so we can make them as loud or as quiet as you'd like it to be but generally speaking we've found the systems don't drone, and don't encroach on the cabin noise too much when you're driving steadily but really open up when you put your foot down, plus they sound great compared to a standard system. We can also make them to suit track-day noise limits and manufacture them from Titanium or Inconel if you're really pushing to save as much weight as possible. Yes our standard systems are 3" for the Meganes and come with a full polybush mounting kit and V-band fittings as standard.
