Exhaust diameter difference

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Gregf, Apr 27, 2014.

  1. Im having a new ss exhaust custom made this week, they use 2.5" pipe as standard but will use 3" for almost the same price.
My car is remapped and de-cated, will that 1/2 inch difference make any performance difference what so ever?

  2. Bigger the better with turbo engines, i made 270bhp and 301 lb ft with a 3" system and 3" decat

  3. I think the decat is 2.75" miltek, but I am swaying towards 3"

  4. Whos making your exhaust mate anf how much if you dont mind me asking?

  5. longlife £390 including jap tail pipes

Don't go for 2.5" I think that's the same as standard DIA.

Or maybe standard is 2.25" can't remember.

  7. Either way not as much noticable difrence as with 3"
