hi all After coming back from the ring last month and some further research it looks likes some are running evo 8 wheels. Anyone on hear had any real world experience ? I know the offset is38 and I'm aware we run 60 something standard.. Advice please
I have been wondering about this. Seen some nice sets of Speedline Corse from the rally boys. I thought some Evos had offset in the 40s?
Ok the issue you have with evo 8 wheels is you need a very specific wheel stud that's the correct thread and length as you will need to use OEM eco wheel bolts that have a flat seat as well as a sleeve that sits inside the wheels lug holes. I had a set and tried a few custom nuts due to my studs being a different thread. It is possible but bit of a ball ache for wheels that are t actually that fantastic
I've just test fitted a set of the pz prodrive oz wheels from the RX8 and the clearance to the caliper is tight at one point (approx 2-3mm). No tyres on the wheels so need to get some and check clearances to the arch next.
Ps impreza wheels I believe have a very small center bore so unless you get them machined out won't fit Megane
Yeah I looked into Impreza wheels and the centre bore is smaller than a Megane so would need machining. I have wondered what the RX-8 wheels would look like on a Megane. Never seen them fitted.
