Good morning my fellow renault enthusiasts ! i am considering painting my engine as i think it looks kinda ugly ... http://www.engine-dynamics.com/Engi...oSport172/182PerformanceEngineBuildLevel3.asp i want to paint it like the image on the page . the idea came when i was painting my calipers and thought of using high temperature paint and doing it with a paint brush like you would the calipers ? what do you think good or bad idea
The metal does get ugly after time I agree. Silver is the best colour imo, yep use rattle hi-temp paint.
If you mean the sump, block, head and manifolds etc then do it the proper way and pull the engine and box out. Drop it into an engine stand and go from there. Won't have to split anything as you could mask off the head from block but you'd have to strip off as much bolt on stuff as you can, wire wheel on end of a drill and give it a good prep prior to painting. Ive done a few before and it's all in the prep work you put in bud.
tbh i dont want to drop the engine and box and i only want to paint the head . so was thinking of masking off as i go along .
