So after putting up with a 'clickety' gear lever and a little 'snatchiness' on part throttle for too long, this morning the good guys at Auto Precision in Scunthorpe replaced the front mount with a genuine Renault part and also fitted a Vibra Technics torque link with uprated bolts. The RS is transformed, feeling really tight with a much improved gear change and no more annoying minor kangaroo issues even on 'Sport' setting :-) The torque link gives a slight increase in vibration (more of a deep mechanical buzz) at idle, which to be honest I quite like. It adds a little edge to the car and reminds me of my old Scirocco Scala on adjustable Weitec suspension :-) All in all, well worth the expense and it'll be the long way home from work tonight! Shout out for Craig and Steve at Auto Precision who are top guys who care about their work.
