   I've got a knocking on tick over from the engine you can hear it from the drivers side front wheel but it's rather loud, I daren't drive it incase it gets worse any ideas??

   i had a knocking noise from that side of the engine, it turned out to be a pulley running dry. try squirting a little bit of water at the belt and the pulley you can see, and if it stops you know that its the problem. i used a bit of wd-40 to shut it up until i get the belts changed.
   
   hopefully this helps and its nothing to serious.
