Hi, My 250 RS produces a lot to steam from the bonnet when it is raining when the car is standing idling after a run. I touched the bonnet and it is quite warm to the touch. I know turbos engines get hot but mine steams away like a wet road on a hot day.is this normal. Temperature gauge is set between 1/2 and 3/4. Cheers.
Same here. Whats the air temp where you are at the moment? Plug an ODB reader with Torque pro and it'll give you the actual coolant temps of the engine, mine is ususally 80 with road driving, 85 if using hard, 90 on track. I've heard non oem radiators can cause this overheating issue....
My 265 always sits between half and 3/4 too and my bonnet is warm to touch also. Pretty normal id say given the turbo is right at the top. Id imagine it would be pretty hot after a good blast.
