  1. So far I've:

. Replaced gear stick heat shrink (Old one had a hole in it?)
. Replaced door card bolts + clips in door frame (one was missing.)
. BOught new floor mat fixings (2 missing)
. Fixed the non-woring odometer button.
. Anti rattle door striker pins.
    . Front track rod ends
    . ARB drop links
    . ARB poly bushes
. Removed old velcro from sill carpets, and fitted new stuff.
. 3/4 number plate on front.
    . Bosch aero wiper
. Remove the locking wheel nuts, and got standard spline drive ones.

    Stuff to do:

Rear tie rod ends or dampeners knocking, so fix either.
    Geo setup
Powdercoat wishbones, ARB, re bush and re ball joints.
    Decent maintenance
New exhaust (If one comes up for right price)
Seats/Door cards in leather (Again for right price)
New head for when HGF occurs (With cams, port matching, bigger valves, pulleys, alloy inlet, 52mm TB)

  2. Always fancied one of these, how do you find it compared to the megane?

Not bad for running to the shops

  4. I can put you in contact with a chap who builds the most impressive engines for these ..

  5. Fantastic couple of cars you have there. Echo the request for a comparison between the two please.

  6. I do <3 these.

  7. Closest thing to a road legal go kart?

  8. The Megane is easy to drive fast. Too hot into a corner? No problem, understeer out, power down, and let the diff do it's magic. Full power into every corner etc.

However the Lotus is, as Cliche as it sounds, as Ben put it, closet thing to a road legal go kart. So much fun at speed limit on a B road (Where as with Megane, you have to be over the limit as that's where it gets more fun.). No PAS, servo or ABS is lush, and the Lotus EASILY out breaks the Megane, however too hot into a corner, or unsettle the weight too much and you're in a ditch somewhere. I'm getting used to it (as it missus), but it's scary to drive fast at limits, as there's nothing to protect you.

Who's that Andy? So far I've heard Kiwi Rog and Dave Andrews are good engine builders (Probs build my own new head for when HGF occurs)

Oh last track day I was at (Donny, LOT day to, but in Megane) the car was eaisily faster than an Exige S1 and the 190 engined S2 Elises, so Meganes definitely faster lol.

is it faster or just easier to drive fast on a track though  lol

  10. Mr Friggerpants - the chap is called Dan Webster

  11. I find the requests for how it compares to a megane a little strange.

    One is fwd , turbo charged 1300+kgs 4 seater the other a rwd , n/a 910kg 2 seater.

    Chalk and cheese !

  12. Think the Elise is lighter, more like 750kg......

In past few weeks I've bought (Thanks to eBay and Seloc)

    . Decat
    . Alloy intake manifold
    . 52mm throttle body
    . 135 cams
    . MIL cheater
    . Gear linkage bushes
    . Foglight-less front grill

    For around £250

Will fit, dyno and get some clean pictures too.

  13. Oh and a black leather steering centre insert too.

  14. Oi you long bearded sexy leg'd slaaaaag.

  15. Ayup shag :-)
