Had some electrical issues with the car the past day or so, which has left me stranded twice now. Started a few days back when I noticed that the car would start only if I held the button in for a few seconds, usually starts with a slight touch. Yesterday I noticed that my trip computer was reset when driving, but thought nothing of it. Stopped at my local Tesco, got back in the car and nothing…totally dead! Tried it a few times, no noise from the relay. Popped the bonnet to check battery connections all looked ok. Back in the car tried again, relay clicked once then nothing! Tried again and it started, however: 6 disc changer was going mental trip back to 0 Clock at 00:00 Radio code needed Windows only going down a fraction each time. Dash lights all illuminated Indicator acting as if failed, but all working Car started fine this morning, stopped for fuel and the exact same thing happened :mad:. The car has been fine since I bought it, changed an indicator bulb last week and gave someone a jump start…I don’t think these would be related to the above issues though. Il go get the battery tested to see what condition its in first, but anyone any suggestions as to what else it could be?
Changed battery and all is good. Got the battery tested and it was only producing 430amps where its rated as 550, so its lost a fair bit. Noticed a marking of 13/04 on it so im assuming its the original battery. Had an issue with the electric windows, but done the re-calibration and all is good.
