ECU remap best experiences in Germany

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by oldschoolracer, Oct 14, 2021.

  1. Guys, is there anyone from Germany who has his ECU remapped succesfully and experiences with long time usage? Honestly I don´t trust most of Chiptuners and would much prefer a shop where the guys has been employees ( or are still actually) of an OEM and did their job in an professionell environment on an dyno or rolling road. Most of them know how to bend the data of the ECU but are not particulary experienced in engine technologies with estimating piston temps, peak pressures, Turbo rev numbers, Knock detection and all other parameters which are essential to match the ECU to get more power. I myself am an engine engineer but I´m only specialised for mechanic issues. So I would like to find someone who remaps cars what are used for instance on the Nordschleife for long distances without issues. My car is a 275 Euro6 equipped with a Wagner intercooler, next spring I want to fit a 3" exhaust together with a 200 cat, and then i intend to remap this combo let say to a reliable 320-330 hp and 420+ Nm. Who can recommend a well reputed company who does this job properly?

  2. Don't know about Germany but Dekker Motorsport in the Netherlands seems to have a very good reputation.

320-330 is maybe a bit optimistic if you want a "safe" tune.
I got 301 hp at Engine Dynamics, injectors running 86% dc@6750 rpm.
3" turbo back exhaust with a 200 cel HJS and Wagner IC.
I would suggest a better Recirc Valve. Forge Recirc fitted to my car - no problems so far.

  6. Agree on that - similar figures for me from ED: a safe 304bhp/320torque. Running BMC panel filter, 200cell Sports Cat, Wagner intercooler, Properfekt recirc valve. It feels quicker than stock 275 for sure, even though it’s only 10% extra power.

  7. Mine made 322 bhp and 340 ftlb with a 200 cell cat, Wagner and panel filter at EFI. All dynos read differently though so can’t really compare.

  8. Wheels off at ED - bolts directly onto the hubs. I asked for a safe one too - my DMF and gearbox didn’t last long on the R26 with big torque…
