I've got a set of used EBC Yellowstuff front pads for 250/265/275. They have done one track day plus a maximum of 1000 road miles so plenty of life in them yet. I won't use them and it seems a shame to leave them to gather dust in the garage so they are free for anyone to collect. I'm based in the Glasgow area. If there doesn't seem to be any local interest after a few days I can look into seeing how much postage would be. Cheers
In the bin they go then, sorry Chris. Glad you gave your input John, made the world of difference. #padsforlandfill
Plywood would be an improvement on yellowstuff pads ... I'm guessing you know this already hence why you are giving them away FOC
I think your just upset they won't fit your mk2. Iv used yellow stuff on other cars without a problem. They ain't no ds500 theyr also half the price (new)
I've got 250 calipers so they would fit Aslong as your happy mate Personally I don't see any reason to fit them . Not good on track and not good on the road . I used them once and nearly went straight on at a junction on a main road . Cold bite in my eyes is dangerous . Standard pads have much better bite for road driving and probably perform better on track too
A little harsh John. I've run them on my 265 for about 6-8 months for fast road use and track and I've never had a problem. I know everyone's breaking technique is different but the cold bite is definitely better than standard. They've not let me down on my morning commute on the M1 when some nob cuts me up or slams his brakes on needlessly. Brands hatch although not too heavy on brakes didn't faze them either after some braking tuition from LiquidF1. The latest yellow stuff compound is far better than the older versions. Again not everyone's cup of tea and yes there are better pads out there but I don't think they should be dismissed so easily as an alternative to standards. Certainly very generous by the OP as a freebie.
I was shocked by them on my car and mines done 6 track days and 10 laps of the ring since may. I wouldn't buy them ever again
They obviously weren't that bad if you continued to use them. Pretty sure if I had shit pads I wouldn't do 6 track days and 10 laps of the ring with them.
