  1. Not quite mate but I'll be going on the rollers whatever, just have to keep an eye on my water/oil levels S-:

Got my turbo fitted but we haven't quite concluded the discussion about the Forge vs Standard actuator have we??

I'm going to call RS Tuning this week . . .

    How you getting on?

  2. Just got the pre turbo rad to fit then it's ready.

Bloody chucking it down now so will have to wait till tomorrow. Bumpers still off from fitting the oil cooler so wont take long.

For me it's a no brainer on the actuator. I would always fit the strongest one within the boost requirements to prevent any chance of wastegate creep but its your car so its your decision.

I can't find my standard 225 actuator to test that against the 250 one.

  3. Guys I'm putting the car up for sale this week as I'm getting a fiesta st delivered in March so won't be getting the car mapped although I might still pop up for the drive. My space for a stage 1 map is now free and I guess it's only fair to give it to however showed their interest earlier on in the thread first. Andy .... I don't know if you wanna sort it out?

  4. is the discount for the mapping still happening? i can see that there is only 4 of us now, 1 dropped out and 1 had the map done today?

  5. Its still happening.

  6. This is cutting it a bit fine really. Its a week and a day then you decide to let me know ?

Anyone want a map ? Call RST and mention turboRenault

  7. great cheers mate

  8. Apologies Andy but it's a bit out of my hand as the car is now up for sale and I only pulled tge trigger and ordered the new car at the weekend

  9. Its looks like I won't be able to make it now.

    just kidding.

  10. How much is a map? Currently have a map but RSTuning map will be a lot better!! So might be able to fill this space!!

  11. Will be interesting to see your before and after dyno results.

  12. Why's that pal?

  13. To see if your old map was good or not?

  14. Ah okay. Yeah. Tbh its probs done nothing at all compared to an RSTuning map. But yeah will be good to see the difference!!

  15. The power doesnt tell all the story. I bet if I were to map my car I could get more power out if it than Paul . I would just lean it out  13 odd AFR on WOT. Sod the det !

  16. Didnt say power.

I said to see if its a good map or not.

Easy enough to check once it's had its first run and easy enough to compare to what it gets after the rstuning map.

For all we know it might have been mapped by someone who rstuning can't better.

  17. The traces tell you next to nothing. You need to see the map , not the print outs.

  18. So the power and the graph from the dyno tell you next to nothing?

So when people pay for a power run on a dyno how do they know if the car could be improved if no one sees the actual map.

What are they actually paying for because as we all know dyno power figures are not to be relied on and as you say the traces tell you next to nothing?

Seems like they are paying for nothing.

  19. As you put a dyno is as good as its operator. A bare power / torque map I dont think is much use. For instance my map traces look a bit wavy. Thats the RR loading up. Its mega smooth in reality. ( ask Steve )

For me a bare print out is for pub braggin rights. Thats it.

  20. Bare power/torque, what about afr and boost?

  21. I still think it only tells you part of the story James. Also lots of variants such as differing dynos. I use it as a base before mod , and a base after.

I also think its a very useful tool for a mapper to use as its controlled, rather than up and down the public roads at the top end of 4th.

  22. I agree there its very safe for the mappers.

I had some interesting runs in a 650hp supra down at surrey rolling road while it was having its map fine tweaked on the road. I was shaking like f@#k when i got out of it.

It wasn't mine but i wished it was.I was down there having my car mapped and the owner said come along.

  23. Get them to fit a de-cat pipe as well and you'll drive away even happier!

If you do decide on the map buddy bring those rear lights with you . . .

    Thanks,

    Rich

  24. Gettting quite excited for this now not to long to go!

  25. I have some new, exciting hot off the press NEWS

There will be a food van there !

  26. haha quality will be much needed!

sorry for the dumb question but i assume we can just pay on card for remap when we get there? cant be arsed to draw cash out if dont need to apart from the food van of course.

  27. Paul @ RS tuning will be handling all the monies buddy. Card can be used I guess. I just organised it for my forum.

  28. ok ta

  29. How much is the remap? I know the numbers are down. And looking to fill the empty spot.

  30. Numbers are fine buddy. One dropped but its not end of world.

  31. Ah okay mate. How much is it anyway?

  32. £345+vat normally
We got £50 off per map.

  34. Iirc its usually £445+vat and we get it at £395+vat.

  35. Gutted I am missing this one as would be good to put some names to faces. Planning on remapping mine in April after taking the lady to Diamond Motors for full a service. Enjoy lads
