Paul was saying i should possibly go for stage 2 he was asking what mods and i advised i had:

Forge re-circ
Intercooler
back box chop
modified airbox

as no decat and im not doing decat anytime soon just yet he advsied against uprated injectors which i understand.

I thought maybe he would only go stage 1 with this set up.

I bet i will be the only 5 door there?

 

We should arrange meet up places and convoy there. I will be joining M1at jct 26.

Just booked in with RS Tuning for Stage 2 map on the 28th!!!

He quoted me £395 + VAT with the discount, that sound right?

I asked him about a time he just said arrive early because Stage 2 so will need unlock code from Fastchip I think.

Yeah but I said I would sort out fitting the injectors.

I thought it was £395 + VAT before the discount reading one of your earlier posts.

Then if we get 5 people booked in wanting maps it would come down to £345 + VAT.

Anyhow excited about the day should be good laugh and may the best engine win (-;

 

Is a stage 2 map more? I believe the 345 + VAT is for stage2

Cant be assed to read 10 pages, any 265 going? If so can you run 250 mode and 265 mode and see what the difference on paper is!?

Although I've been told by another member that Paul is only mapping cars with no existing map (standard ecu).

I.e. no Stage 1 to Stage 2 or Stage 2 map upgrades . . . can anyone else confirm?

 

Mines not standard, although its not got an rs map on it so guessing it counts as a full remap.

 

Yer I spoke with Paul yesterday and he wasn't doing any map tweaks or stage 2 maps from what I was led to believe.

I just said I already had his stage 1 map and wanted to go stage 2, he just said no map tweaks or stage 2 upgrades.
But I wasn't sure if he would be doing a full from nothing to stage 2 still?

Im convinced mine would be a stage 1 but if paul things stage 2 im well happy with that.

not going to go injectors or decat just yet.

 

Decat is a great mod. The noise is worth the hassle of changing it.

I agree about the Stage talk but thats come from RS Tuning hasn't it? Anyone going to ring Paul to clarify?

I just don't want to drive all the way there from Essex to be told 'Paul can't map yours today because its already got an existing map'.

I've bought a de-cat pipe and RS250 turbo this to gear up for this!

Will have following mods;

Stainless steel mesh cone filter with cold air feed
Ktec 3" cat back exhaust
Scorpion 3" de-cat pipe
60mm Winner Racing Intercooler
Siemens 630cc injectors
RS250 turbo
Forge re-circ valve
Forge actuator
Forge boost hoses

Also wondering about a thicker head gasket for lower compression . . . anyone looked into this?

This thread seems to have died a bit! Is it all still going ahead?
Also has any one else rang and spoke with Paul regarding mapping?

As I said earlier in the thread he said to me no upgrades or mapping of injectors (stage 2 as some refer to it as)
so I'm a little confused with what he's actually mapping on the day, there seems to be a lot interested in mapping tweaks with injectors looking through this.
It come across to me that he's only mapping basic mods

 

Ok that's sound, did he say about mapping injectors in? Cause that's £200+vat
hes Lready mapped mine once for decat, induction and recirc valve.
I want another map for injectors and intercooler. I know he normally charges £200+vat for that as I say.
