250 DRL Faulty?

  1. As above one of my DRL's is a lot dimmer on one side than the other, sometimes it flickers and sometimes it goes off completely.. Would this be due to the actual DRL unit or something else like a power pack/ballast?

Already having to buy a new headlight due to a crack in it so rather not spend another 200+ on a complete DRL unit:tongueout:

  2. Hard to tell you would need to get hold of one to rule out which is at fault. The DRL itself isn't expensive, the one for the 265 is £60 so I'd imagine the 250 one is cheaper (maybe) and there's a ballast on here for sale cheap too.

  3. That seems really cheap. I'm sure i was quoted like 210 to change it before.

  4. 60£?? I think the 250 ones are at least twice that..

There could be something wrong with the light itself, causing the power supply to make it flicker.. You could try switching the lights around and see if the fault follows the light or the power supply (each light has its own power supply bolted to the inside of the bumper just next to the light itself).

  5. Yea I changed my offside one couple months ago. £66 or something it was. My local dealer matched the price I got from Renault Wolverhampton.

  6. The part numbers for the 250 DRLs are:

    266002102R - Driver
    266050314R - Passenger

Best price I could find was around £170. I think the 265 DRLs are different - don't they have 5/6 LEDs whereas the 250 has 3.

  7. That sounds more like it with the price i was quoted. That's mad that the 265 ones are that much cheaper and they have double the LEDs haha.. Wonder why..
