My Mums 2011 Megane Coupe door is clicking/clunking when opening, any idea what this could be? Car is going for a service with Renault in next couple of weeks.
This happened on my 250. There are two 13mm bolts that were slightly loose on the door strap. Tightened these and the problem was solved..
spray doesn't help, it is broken most likely and must be changed, it is a common fault between menages. after the clicking noise stops, the stop stops working correctly, and puts a massive stress on upper hinge if door is let to open fully, or what nathrs250 sad
No need for replacement I fixed it myself, works like a charm. you just need either to replace the two little wheels in door strap, if you can get two new ones or make them. Or you can just switch those two, put the one who runs on the back side to the front and also smoothen the front one a little bit.
