Disconnecting the battery

  1. I'll be disconnecting the battery on my 265 soon while I install the power cable for an active sub. Will anything need resetting after I reconnect it, such as electric windows, central locking or radio code? If so, are they easy to do?

  2. All i had to do after disconnecting it was reset the clock.

  3. You don't need to disconnect the battery. Just leave the fuse out until you have everything else finished.
That's all I've ever done and never had a problem.

  4. I think I need to remove the battery to get the power through the bulkhead unless anyone knows an easier route through.

  5. Good point, forgot about that.

  6. under the chassis (put the cable in some flexible conduit?

  7. I'm taking it to Mick at Diamond Motors tomorrow to have the power cable put through the bulkhead. Already installed everything else.
Didn't fancy stripping things out the engine bay myself so I'll leave that bit to the expert.
