265 Disc rotating on hub

    Hello,

I just fitted some Endless N35S compound(CC43) brake pads to my 3 RS. Braking force is phenomonal, but after some inspection it appears the discs have rotated on the hubs. Just 1-2;millimeter, but they have moved from their original position, the little positioning bolts are tilted a little.

I was running 5 mm spacers, and it was the first time using longer bolt which also used some extra thread. I used a torque wrench to tighten them, but screwing into the 'new' thread needed some extra force so they might have been not fully torque down like normal due to this.

Anyone experienced this before? Anything you can do about it?

Is this because of the spacers and maybe the first time torqueing down or are the discs/hubs just not up to the forces generated by the brakes?

    Thanks in advance

I have never had that happen before, but then i don't run spacers.

Done shed loads of trackdays with some very aggressive pads and not a problem.
What torque are you tightening the wheel nuts up to ???

Hm, quite weird. I torque them to 130 Nm.

Best bet is to bin the spacers and try it again, i ran a set of Endless CC63's without a problem, would use them again but at over £400 :cry:

Will probably bin the spacers, clean everything up, torque down good and try again.

I ordered my pads from RHDjapan, Japanese company. I payed around €230.- including taxes and shipping. You will have to wait for some time, but it is cheap for a set. Just check for Endless EP357 pads, that's the right shape. As I said I have the CC43 compound.

  7. 130nm isn't that a lot??? I think Renault recommends 115 nm

Yes it's a little more then normal, but chosed to go with that because I heard people having isseu's on track when torqueing them down to 110NM.
