Dipped Beam Bulb Not Working

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by edddurrant, Jun 6, 2014.

  1. Hi Guys,

Tonight i changed both my dipped beam bulbs as my passenger side was out. Firstly this was a complete ball ache removing the wheels and doing it all but anyway...

After changing the bulb it still doesn't work.

i have looked all around and all the other bulbs work, sidelights full beam etc and dipped works on the other side. Fog lights are however not working, whether that is related i do not know?

There was an alarm that has been put in by the previous owner and had spurred off an orange cable that heads towards the headlights .. pictures below

    PLEASE HELP

    Professional installation right there!

The lighting runs in its own loom from the UPC so easy enough to inspect. Have you checked the fuses in the UPC yet?

  3. To be complelty honest no! Which fuse do I want and is it in the set under the bonnet or near the glove box?

  4. Does anyone know where the fuse is for the passenger side dipped as I can't find it

I'll look at the UPC schema for you later when I get onto RNet

    Fuse 8C - 15A - Right beam (dipped)
    Fuse 8D - 15A - Left beam (dipped)

Little bit of a bump (sorry) Does one of those fuses also power the motors for the headlight adjustment? I have the driver side dipped out and the motors on the headlights have stopped working.

Christ I pulled out my headlight bulb today after undressing half the bonnet then giving up and heading to the manual for the answer!

Just for info, in my case it was a wiring fault. The horn bracket had worn through some of the wiring causing the fuse to blow.
